Hong Leong Finance’s Participation at Assisi FunDay 2021
Hong Leong Finance (HLF) supported Assisi Hospice’s annual fundraising event, Assisi Fun Day, for the fourth year. A 10-day e-fair was held due to the Covid-19 situation. HLF set up a snack booth and raised almost $6,000 to help provide funds for palliative home and inpatient care to patients with life-limiting illnesses.

SMEICC Conference 2021 - #FITforFuture
SCCCI has brought back the SMEICC Conference 2021 after scrapping it for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2-day physical conference has since been converted to a virtual series that spans over 3 months till 30 Nov 2021. Themed Re-set, Re-balance and Renewal, SMEs will benefit from the sharing of ideas on effective tools and strategies for these disruptive times. Hong Leong Finance remains a steadfast sponsor of the SMEICC Conference 2021.

Children for Children Charity 2021 (CFC 2021)
Hong Leong Finance together with other Hong Leong Group of companies were named “Super Hero Donor” in the 13th Children for Children fund raising event. The Group’s collective donation of $30,000 was the largest received by CFC this year. CFC 2021, is jointly organised by The Rice Company Limited, CHIJ Kellock, The Business Times and Resorts World Sentosa, to raise funds for The Business Times Budding Artists Fund, which provides children and youth from financially disadvantaged backgrounds opportunities and access to the arts.

Children for Children Charity 2020 (CFC 2020)
Hong Leong Finance continued to support the CFC 2020 annual fundraising campaign as one of their sponsors. The event was jointly organised by The Business Times, CHIJ Kellock, The Rice Company Ltd and Resorts World Sentosa to raise fund for the beneficiaries of The Business Times Budding Artists Fund to provide financial support to financially disadvantaged children and youth to nurture their interests in the arts. Given the current ongoing Covid-19 safe distancing measures, the CFC 2020 took on a virtual spin with an online musical video production.

Children for Children Charity (CFC) 2019
Together with Hong Leong Group, Hong Leong Finance is a long-term sponsor of CFC Annual Fund-Raising event organized by CHIJ Kellock (Primary), The RICE Company Ltd, The Business Times and Resorts World Sentosa. The funds are used to help financially disadvantaged children across 36 primary schools to pursue their interest in arts.

Alzheimer’s Disease Association (ADA) Star Charity
Hong Leong Finance supported ADA’s Star Charity Luncheon to raise funds to expand beneficiary outreach for its popular Memories Café programme. The programme is a weekly two-hour social gathering held in public cafes for persons with dementia and their caregivers to express and forge friendships through music activities and reduce societal stigma.

This year is the second year of HLF's participation with 25 staff from different departments volunteering at the event.

Donation to Roxy Foundation's Charity Car Wash event
Hong Leong Finance made a donation to the Charity Car Wash event organized by Roxy-Pacific Holdings Limited. The proceeds for this charity event goes to their foundation managed by Community Foundation of Singapore (CFS). CFS is a public charity that guides philanthropy and is dedicated to improving the quality of life in the area it serves.

Hong Leong Finance (HLF) participated in Assisi Fun Day 2018 with 21 staff from different departments volunteering at the event. The charity event was incredibly successful and the funds raised are dedicated for Assisi Hospice where palliative care to patients with life-limiting illnesses is provided.

16th Lexus Charity Golf Day
Hong Leong Finance has been a regular supporter for Lexus Charity Golf event. This year we are proud to be a Gold Sponsor. The proceeds of S$100,000 from the charity golf day went to Canossian School. This Special Education School plays an important role in bridging hearing impaired children into mainstream school curriculum that it provides, hence helping them to integrate into the society.

Hong Leong Finance supports SMEs Go Digital Programme
Hong Leong Finance participated in the industry briefing organised to keep the Infocomm Media industry updated on the SMEs Go Digital Programme. Attended by over 500 guests, the presentation provided an overview of the new Productivity Solutions Grant that was recently announced during Budget 2018, and streamlines existing grants offering support for re-scoped IT solution and equipment into a single grant. The presentation also provide details on the scope of support and the grant application process. Participants also learn about the challenges and requirements of SME sectors, business opportunities as well as Government programmes and initiatives to support their businesses.

Fun in the sun with needy kids at veggie farm
In December 2017, Hong Leong Finance held a charity event which involved 15 volunteers from the company. A numbers of needy children aged 7 to 14 from Sunbeam Place were brought to Bollywood Veggies for a fun outing. Sunbeam Place, which is part of Singapore Children's Society, is a residential home and is known as place of safety for children who have been abused or neglected, and are in need of protection, or for those whose parents are unable to provide proper care. The volunteers and children were split into different groups, and enjoyed a series of specially-planned activities.

Hong Leong Finance (HLF) has joined the Singapore government to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) transform digitally to stay in business amid tech disruption under the SMEs Go Digital Scheme by Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). With the partnership with IMDA, HLF can be that connector between these SMEs and digital advisers to help them find suitable solutions and financing.

Family Day at the Singapore Zoological Gardens
Fostering strong family bonding, Hong Leong Finance supports the annual Hong Leong Group's Family Day organised by the Hong Leong Group Sports & Recreation Club. This year, the event was held at the Singapore Zoological Gardens. Our staff and their family participated in many fun activities including carnival games, F1 simulator, magic show and photo-hunt.

Mazda Driveaway
Mazda Singapore organised its 4th annual driveaway to Malaysia during the June school holidays and Hong Leong Finance is once again their strong supporter. Almost 60 cars with more than 150 participants ventured up to Club Med Cherating Beach (north of Kuantan). One of the focal points of the trip was a visit to the Turtle Sanctuary, where participants had a fascinating close-up encounter with the endangered sea turtles.

Bazaar Sale cum Singtel Roadshow
Several vendors participated in the Bazaar sale where our staff get to enjoy exclusive deals from Singtel and other promotional items such as wellness, health and bodycare products, cakes, sausages etc. To enhance our charity outreach, Assisi Fun Day tickets were also on sale at the event to help the Assisi Hospice. Singapore Heart Foundation is also present to promote 'Save-A-Life' initiative where staff can download the myResponder mobile application and register as a volunteer Responder.

Trekking in Pahang, Malaysia
Staff and their families had an exciting and unforgettable trip to Pahang, Malaysia, organised by the Hong Leong Group Sports & Recreation Club. It included a challenging trekking to the Tapis (Rainbow) Waterfall where they had to wade across a knee-to-waist deep stream and an interesting traditional sampan boat ride to Lake Chini and the Orang Asii village. The memorable experience had helped to strengthen the staff family bonding.

Farms visit for the elderly
At the Hong Leong Foundation annual charity event, Hong Leong Finance staff accompanied the seniors aged 65 to 93 from the Henderson Senior Citizens' Home and St John's Home for the Elderly Person to a tour of goat farm, quail farm and a vegetable and mushroom farm. It was a nostalgic experience for the seniors and they were treated to lunch at the end of the tour.

Support for TODAY Enable Fund
To help build a society where every citizen of all abilities has a place and role to play, as well as increase our community outreach, Hong Leong Finance supported the TODAY Enable Fund. The Fund, launched by ESM Goh Chok Tong, the TODAY and SGEnable will focus on efforts to enhance the education, skills and employment prospects of persons with disabilities.

Front-Runner Dementia-Friendly Organisation
All Hong Leong Finance branch frontline staff attended a training programme by Forget Us Not (FUN), a joint initiative by Lien Foundation and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. The training provided the staff with an insight on dementia and equipped them with the knowledge and skills to recognise and act on its signs and symptoms at work and in the community.

Hong Leong Olympics
At the Hong Leong Olympics 2016, there were competitive individual and team sports for staff of Hong Leong Group, as well as exciting games and thrilling track and field events for their children to take part with them to strengthen parent-child rapport. Hong Leong Finance clinched the second position amongst four groups of Hong Leong companies. The achievement was a testament that the staff worked hard and played hard.

Porsche Driveway to Malaysia 2016
Hong Leong Finance has been supporting the annual Porsche Driveway to Malaysia since year 2014. Over 60 Porsche owners and their families and friends in 33 Porsches took part in a 5-day/4-night, 1,200km drive across scenic Malaysia.

Walkathon Family Day
Hong Leong Finance advocates building strong family bonding and maintaining a healthy lifestyle for its staff via activities organised by Hong Leong Group Sports & Recreation Club. Staff had a great time with their families at the Walkathon Family Day doing fun activities together over a sumptuous breakfast buffet at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel despite the walk being cancelled due to wet weather condition.

Power Up With Lexus Hybrid 2016
Hong Leong Finance has played a part in helping over 200 low-income households in North West CDC to get access to electricity supply by supporting Power Up With Lexus Hybrid 2016 Campaign. The initiative launched on World Environmental Day, was to donate part of the fuel saving from the hybrids sold in 2015 to provide utilities assistance to the needy families. Mazda Driveaway
As a key business partner with Mazda, Hong Leong Finance has been supporting the annual Mazda Driveaway to Malaysia for a 3rd year. About 200 people and 50 Mazda cars participated in this driveaway to Penang with overnight stopovers in Ipoh and Malacca. The Mazda cars drivers had a wonderful driving experience.

Outing for residents from Home for the Aged Charity Event
In celebration of the Lunar New Year, Hong Leong Finance staff joined other staff from Hong Leong Group to accompany 60 seniors aged between 63 and 98 years old from Kheng Chiu Loke Tin Kee Home and Bo Tien Home for the Aged for a visit to Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum to view dinosaur fossils and be treated to a festive buffet lunch at Copthorne King's Hotel.
