Hong Leong Finance Continues Support for SMEs at SMEICC 2025

As a long-standing Gold Sponsor of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s annual SME and Infocomm Commerce Conference (SMEICC), Hong Leong Finance reached out to SMEs on supporting their growth and success at the event held from 3 – 4 September. This year’s theme “A Shared Future: Business Reimagined” focused on how businesses can adapt, collaborate, and prepare for the future.

Empowering Doctors on their Journey to Private Practice

On 23 August, Hong Leong Finance (HLF) took part in the Singapore Medical Association’s seminar “Taking the Plunge – Going Into Private Practice”, which brought together doctors who were considering or preparing to set up their own clinics. HLF connected with the doctors on their aspirations and concerns, and shared practical financial solutions to ease their journey to private practice – from starting a new clinic to renovations, purchasing equipment, or acquiring a medical suite.

Hong Leong Finance Supports Local Businesses at Singapore Heartland Enterprise Summit 2025

Hong Leong Finance (HLF) participated in the Singapore Heartland Enterprise Summit 2025, held on 14 July and organised by the Federation of Merchants’ Associations, Singapore. At the event, HLF connected with heartland merchants, engaging them in conversations about their business challenges and aspirations. The HLF team also introduced relevant solutions to the merchants, reinforcing HLF's commitment to empowering local enterprises. Through initiatives like this, HLF continues to support heartland businesses as a trusted financial partner in their growth journey.

Hong Leong Finance Partners Singapore Police Force to Educate Customers on Scams

Hong Leong Finance (HLF), in partnership with the Singapore Police Force (SPF), held an outreach and engagement session on 22 March to educate customers on scams and how to prevent themselves from becoming the next victims. 25 customers attended the event where they learnt from officers from the Jurong East Neighbourhood Police Centre (JE NPC) about various types of scams including government officials impersonation scams, fake friend call scams, social media impersonation scams, loan scams and investment scams, as well as what to do when they encounter such scams. The customers also had the opportunity to have their burning questions about scams answered by representatives from HLF and JE NPC. Combating scams requires the collective efforts of all stakeholders. HLF is heartened that the customers found the event with SPF engaging and beneficial and has planned for more events to enhance customers' awareness about scams.

Hong Leong Finance "Spring Cleans" East Coast Park

Ahead of the Lunar New Year, Hong Leong Finance (HLF) staff volunteers made a positive impact on the environment through a beach clean-up at Singapore's East Coast Park. By removing some 30 kilogrammes of non-biodegradable waste which pose significant threats to marine life and the ecosystem, this activity highlighted the importance of reducing waste and protecting our natural environment. Beyond contributing to a cleaner environment, our staff also built camaraderie by working towards a shared goal of preserving Singapore's pristine landscapes and creating a more sustainable future.

Bringing Sunshine to Children of Sunbeam Place

Hong Leong Finance (HLF) staff volunteers took a group of children from Sunbeam Place @ Children's Society on an educational outing filled with "fishy adventures" and "goat antics". Sunbeam Place is a residential home and gazetted place of safety for children and youth who need care and protection due to abuse and neglect, or whose parents are unable to provide proper care. Their first stop was Qian Hu Fish Farm where the children were treated to a fascinating guided tour to learn about the wide variety of fish species and their unique characteristics. At their next stop, Hay Diaries, the children learnt about the differences between goats and cows and the properties of their milk. Activities like this outing is part of HLF's commitment to supporting the community while enabling staff to make a difference.

Children for Children Charity 2024 (CFC 2024)

Hong Leong Finance supported the 2024 CFC annual fundraising event. The event raised S$103,000 for underprivileged children. Jointly organized by CHIJ (Kellock), arts nonprofit TRCL, and The Business Times, CFC provided a meaningful blend of education and entertainment focus on Singapore's heritage. The funds raised support the Business Times Budding Artists Fund, offering fully sponsored arts programs to empower underserved youth, helping them build confidence, character, and skills.

Hong Leong Finance's Participation at Assisi Fun Day Carnival 2024

Hong Leong Finance (HLF) proudly supported Assisi Hospice's largest fundraising event for the seventh consecutive year. This year marks Assisi's 55th Anniversary of providing compassionate care to their patients, with a goal to enhance palliative home care capacity by 2026. The funds raised will be directed towards supporting the needy patients under the care of Assisi Hospice. A total of $10,577 was raised by HLF at this significant charity event through the sale of items at the carnival and home-baked / cooked goods prepared by our dedicated staff. HLF's collaborative team effort made this achievement possible, allowing us to contribute meaningfully to the community!

Children for Children Charity 2023 (CFC 2023)

Children For Children (CFC) is an annual fundraiser co-organised by CHIJ (Kellock) Primary School, The Rice Company Limited which is a charitable organisation and The Business Times. Hong Leong Finance is one of the long-term supporters of the event. A total of S$201,500 was raised towards The Business Times Budding Artists Fund, which will be used to provide free arts courses for underprivileged children.

SCCCI SME Conference and Infocomm Commerce Conference (SMEICC) made a full return to Suntec Convention Halls after the COVID-19 pandemic. Themed “Leadership Next: Rising Above Adversity”, Hong Leong Finance continued to support as a gold sponsor, advocating purposeful leadership in navigating uncertainties and seizing opportunities for business success.

Hong Leong Finance's Participation at Assisi Fun Day Carnival 2023

For six consecutive years, Hong Leong Finance (HLF) has been a firm supporter of Assisi Hospice's annual fundraising event. Likewise for this year, HLF's staff volunteered passionately their time at the event. Some culinary staff talents also baked and cooked delicious food items for sale. Through the collective efforts of HLF's dedicated team and the overwhelming support from staff and visitors alike, a total of $8,846 was raised towards this charity event. Fund raised is to provide much-needed palliative care to Assisi Hospice's patients who are facing life-limiting illnesses, and meeting the needs of their families during challenging times.

Lee Kuan Yew Centennial Fund

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s birth in 2023, Hong Leong Finance and the Hong Leong Group of Companies, contributed to the Lee Kuan Yew Centennial Fund that supports the development of Singapore’s youth and education related initiatives such as the Singapore Young Leaders Programme (SYLP).

Under the Fund, the SYLP will bring together about 1,000 student leaders from across Institute of Technical Education (ITE), polytechnics and autonomous universities every year, empowering them with leadership opportunities to shape Singapore’s future.

Launched by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Mr Lawrence Wong on 30 May 2023, the Fund will also support the expansion of Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship Awards, Lee Kuan Yew Post-Graduate Scholarship for Urban Greenery and Ecology and additional support for ITE and polytechnic students.

Hong Leong Finance’s Participation at Assisi FUNDay 2022

Hong Leong Finance (HLF) has been supporting Assisi Hospice’s annual fundraising event for five consecutive years. As part of Covid-19 precautionary measures, this year’s event was also held online like the previous year. HLF set up a snack booth for the 10-day e-fair and raised $5,700 for the charity. The funds would be for Assisi Hospice to provide home, inpatient and day palliative care for patients with the aim to preserving their dignity and improving the quality of life.

Children for Children Charity 2022 (CFC 2022)

Once again, Hong Leong Finance together with other Hong Leong Group of Companies, supported the Children for Children annual community fund raising event 2022. The Group collectively donated $30,000. This year marked the return to a physical carnival at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), after two years of virtual activities due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The event was jointly organised by not-for-profit arts organisation The Rice Company, CHIJ Kellock and Business Times, with support from RWS, to support artistically talented children and youth from less-privileged households.

SMEICC Conference 2021 - #FITforFuture

SCCCI has brought back the SMEICC Conference 2021 after scrapping it for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2-day physical conference has since been converted to a virtual series that spans over 3 months till 30 Nov 2021. Themed Re-set, Re-balance and Renewal, SMEs will benefit from the sharing of ideas on effective tools and strategies for these disruptive times. Hong Leong Finance remains a steadfast sponsor of the SMEICC Conference 2021.

Children for Children Charity 2021 (CFC 2021)

Hong Leong Finance together with other Hong Leong Group of companies were named “Super Hero Donor” in the 13th Children for Children fund raising event. The Group’s collective donation of $30,000 was the largest received by CFC this year. CFC 2021, is jointly organised by The Rice Company Limited, CHIJ Kellock, The Business Times and Resorts World Sentosa, to raise funds for The Business Times Budding Artists Fund, which provides children and youth from financially disadvantaged backgrounds opportunities and access to the arts.
